Epiretinal membrane is a film which covers the macular at the back of the eye. This film helps you see clearly and when it is damaged in any way, your vision is interfered with. That being said, epiretinal membrane can easily be confused with macular degeneration, but the two should not be confused and are completely different problems, both of which require a visit to the eye specialist and surgeon in order to repair the problem and improve your vision moving forward.
