Role of Oxygen in a Human Body

The role of oxygen in sustaining life earth cannot be over-emphasized so much so that life cannot exist should there be no oxygen. The human body contains around two-thirds of oxygen. Through respiration the gas is transported to lungs and is absorbed in the bloodstream in the lungs.
