American Researchers Develop Customized Blood Cells in a Lab

The researchers from the Johns Hopkins University have successfully customized blood cells. They were able to remove a genetic error in stem cells that could result in sickle cell disease. This in turn has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of sickle cell anemia, which is currently not completely curable. As an off-spin, this approach can even be used to treat other blood-related disorder.
