The demands of the modern world is driving more individuals to seek help from therapists instead of family members. In doing so there are signs one should uncover to ensure that the therapist is genuine and trained to help where help is needed. At the same time depression and anxiety are two areas where professional help by a counsellor has been shown to be successful. This article shows what can be expected from counselling and what is needed from both parties to ensure the correct result is reached that of the client walking away with enhanced self-esteem and a feeling of well-being.
