An estimated 1 in 4 children have a vision problem that if left untreated impacts their development, learning and/or behaviors. One study found that even if a child failed a school vision screening, 50% of the parents were unaware of the failure two months after the screening. These disorders, if left untreated can have an economic impact, too. Nationally, an estimated $10 billion is spent annually.
